Hi, I’m Mary Grace and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduation, I accepted a research position working in the Psychiatry department at a local university, which provided me the chance to work with a variety of individuals, many facing crisis. That opportunity helped me realize my calling in life was to become a therapist, so that I could play a role in helping people improve their quality of life. I furthered my education at Saint Louis University, earning a Master’s degree in Counseling and Family Therapy.
Over the past 8 years, I have worked with a variety of individuals and families in both a research and clinical setting to better understand and treat chemical dependency, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I work especially with young children and their caregivers using Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) techniques in order to address challenging behaviors in kids age 3-7 and to improve the parent and child relationship.
As your counselor I’ll provide an environment where we can work together to meet your unique goals.
