Hi, I’m Jennifer.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor at Hope Crossing.  I have been licensed since 2002 and have experience as a counselor since 1998.  I received my BA degree in Sociology and a minor in Art from Wheaton College in 1990.  I also received a MA degree in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in 1998.  God has given me a heart for people of all ages and particularly for children, adolescents, and young adults.

I have clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families addressing depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, child development and attachment issues, and relationships.  I am trained in EMDR.  I value the use of art, music, and other creative outlets to enhance the therapeutic process and personal growth.  Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I know that it is only through His love and grace that I can be used to bring healing to other’s lives.  I believe Jesus modeled an attitude of love and acceptance to people.

I am married and have two daughters, a dog, and a cat.  I enjoy drawing, painting, calligraphy, piano, music, reading, movies, and camping in my free time.  I am ready to meet you wherever you may find yourself in life.
